On Saturday October 29, 1960, Cassius Clay faced off in his first professional boxing bout against West Virginia police chief Tunney Hunsaker at Freedom Hall Fairgrounds in Louisville, KY. Clay turned in a classy and confident victory over Hunsaker, winning the six round bout by unanimous decision. Following his first bout, Clay recorded an unprecedented 18 straight victories before claiming the heavyweight title from Sonny Liston on February of 1964 in Miami Beach, FL.
